Oli Hammond has joined Oldham Athletic on a permanent transfer.

The 21-year-old departs Forest having come through the ranks at the Nigel Doughty Academy, spending 12 years with the club.

The midfielder made his professional debut for Forest in the EFL Cup against Wolves in August 2021, going on to make a further two first team appearances.

Hammond spent the first half of this season on loan at Sky Bet League One side Cheltenham Town, making 11 appearances for the Robins.

Having had his loan spell come to an end, Hammond now embarks on a new chapter in his career as he joins the National League Latics.

Head of Academy, Chris McGuane said: “Oli leaves having been part of the Academy for 12 years when he joined as an Under 9 player.

“Throughout his time with us, he has been an example to other Academy players and is genuinely a fantastic person first and foremost.

“As he embarks on the next stage of his career he leaves us with our very best wishes for the future.”
