Forest were held to a goalless draw by Bristol City in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup at Ashton Gate on Friday night.

Nuno Espírito Santo named an unchanged side from last weekend's defeat at Brentford, with Morgan Gibbs-White returning from injury to make the bench.

The hosts had the greater chances early on, with Tommy Conway seeing an effort blocked well by Andrew Omobamidele before firing another attempt wide on the half volley.

Down the other end Yates saw a shot saved by O'Leary and then Danilo hit the side netting with a fierce strike on the stroke of half-time.

Gibbs-White was introduced at the break and set up Chris Wood with a good ball into the box, but the striker could not produce enough power in his header to seriously trouble the goalkeeper.

Forest went close again through Callum Hudson-Odoi who also smashed an effort into the side netting, but neither side could find a breakthrough after 90 minutes and the match finished level.

The draw sets up a replay at the City Ground, the date of which will be confirmed in due course.
