Elliot, welcome to Nottingham Forest, how does it feel to sign?

“I’m buzzing. I think it’s a massive club with big history and I can’t wait to get started.”

What was it about Nottingham Forest that made you want to sign for the club?

“It’s the club and the city. I’ve always been very fond of Nottingham Forest and I think it’s a great place to display what I can do and go onto try and help my career.”

You’ve been at Newcastle since the age of eight, how are you feeling about this new chapter in your career?

“It’s a great opportunity. It’s a fresh start so I want to attack it and show everyone what ability I’ve got. I’m looking forward to it all.”

You’ve played at The City Ground previously with Newcastle, how did you find that experience of playing here?

“It was brilliant. I was speaking to my parents after the game and my Dad said that it’s probably one of the best grounds he’s been to in terms of atmosphere. I came on in the game and it felt great to play here.”

You seem to be a very versatile player capable of playing anywhere in midfield, what do you see as your best qualities?

“Since I came through the academy I’ve been chucked in different positions and I’ve always dealt with it. I think I’m versatile because I can do different parts of the game. I think it helps as a player when you can play different positions as it gives you a better chance of playing.”

How would you describe yourself as a player?

“I’m an attacking threat who likes to create goals. I haven’t got too many yet, but I can see myself getting many for Forest. I just like to create chances.

Finally, what are your hopes and ambitions for your time with the club?

“Personally I want to go out there and do as well as I can and help the team. For the team, I just want to finish as high as possible and get up that table.”
