Watch or read our new goalkeeper's first interview below!

Carlos, welcome to Nottingham Forest! How does it feel to sign for the club?

"I'm really happy and honoured to represent this club.

"Just seeing the stadium and feeling the energy within it, I can't wait to be on the pitch to help Nottingham Forest win."

You're also following Murillo in moving from Corinthians to Forest, did you have the chance to speak to him before making your decision?

"Yes, absolutely, the first information came from Murillo.

"I asked him about the club and also the city. I asked how the club works as it's so important to know everything beforehand.

"He said great things and was exuberant about this club, which made me really happy."

How important was that in making your decision to sign for Forest?

"It was important, really important.

"Coming genuinely from a friend who moved here from Brazil on his own for a new challenge the way he did.

"He only had good things to say, I trust him and believe this is the place for me."

There's also Danilo from Sao Paulo rival Palmeiras, have you had a chance to chat with him?

"Yes I have, I know Danilo as well. He only had good things to say to me.

"Dani is a great lad, we're going to get on really well together."

Like Murillo and Danilo this is your first move away from Brazil, how excited are you for this new challenge?

"I'm always excited by challenges in my life and this will be the most important of all.

"I believe I'll overcome all obstacles and do my very best at everything."

Growing up and as a football player did you watch a lot of the Premier League?

"The Premier League is one of the most important leagues in the world.

"Everyone worldwide watches the Premier League and it's no different in Brazil.

"I genuinely watch a lot of it, so I'm so happy to be a part of it today."

Describe this feeling of arriving in the Premier League today?

"It's the greatest joy in the world, I thank God and this is just the start."

There's a rich tradition of Brazilian goalkeepers, do you have a goalkeeping idol?

"Ever since I was little, my idol has always been Dida. He's my greatest inspiration.

"I've seen him play in the World Cup, in the Champions League. Dida is my absolute idol."

In the tradition of Brazilian goalkeepers what do you hope to bring to the club?

"First of all I want to bring victories, that's the main thing, I came here to win. I want to bring joy to everyone at Nottingham Forest as well."

And for the fans that don't know you yet, how would you describe yourself as a player and what are some of your best qualities?

"It's not my place to talk about my own qualities as I'm very self-critical.

"I never talk about the positives, just what I need to do to improve.

"What you can expect from Carlos Miguel is non-stop commitment and determination right until the end."

Finally, what are your goals here at the club?

"My main objective is to become an important member of this team, a giant club in the history of football.

"I want a place in the museum like the others."
