Forest were held to a 1-1 draw against Sunderland in their second pre-season fixture on Friday evening.
Nuno Espírito Santo's side dominated the opening proceedings with Nico Domínguez volleying wide from Ola Aina’s cross inside six minutes.
The Reds worked the ball in the final third too, with Chris Wood doing well to create space and force Luke O’Nien into a crucial block from inside the area.
Domínguez also caused the Sunderland defence to make a strong challenge moments later, latching onto Danilo’s through ball before seeing a shot well blocked.
But Forest were to go into the break trailing as Chris Rigg went down under the challenge of Murillo inside the area, with Jack Clarke firing home from the penalty spot for 1-0 on 39 minutes.
Nuno made a number of changes to his side at the break, with two of those combining to level things up just three minutes after the interval.
Anthony Elanga broke and drove forward with pace before supplying Omar Richards, who took a touch before firing an effort in off the crossbar for 1-1 on 48 minutes
Forest nearly won it in second half injury time when Ryan Yates’ header from Anthony Elanga’s corner was superbly kept out by Anthony Patterson, in what turned out to be the final action of the match.
