Away Membership remains a Season Card holders-only privilege and enables the club to fairly distribute the circa 3,000 tickets offered to NFFC for most away Premier League fixtures.
Away Membership renewals are online only.
Registered disabled supporters or those who require accessible seating, can renew by visiting the Ticket Office in person or by calling us on 0115 982 4388 during the renewals period.
The Club would like to emphasise that Away Membership can only be used to secure tickets for the named Season Card holder who holds it. For more information, please review our FAQs and T&Cs at the bottom of this article.
Changes To The Scheme
Away Memberships will now be capped at 4,500 providing Away Members with an increased opportunity to secure tickets for away fixtures.
The number of Away Memberships has been reduced due to some Away Members not meeting the outlined renewal eligibility, but to also consider the portion of 100 tickets that will be balloted to Season Card holders without an Away Membership for next season, ensuring to mitigate any “closed shop” element.
Priority Plus Away Members (capped at 400) will receive priority ticket access via a 24-hour sales window (10am – 10am) for every Premier League away fixture.
- Priority Plus Away Members must purchase a ticket for at least 14 Premier League away fixtures to be eligible to renew at this rate for 2025/26.
Priority One Away Members (capped at 1,000) will receive second priority ticket access via a 20-hour sales window for every Premier League away fixture.
- Priority One Away Members must purchase a ticket for at least 14 Premier League away fixtures to be eligible to renew at this rate for 2025/26.
Priority Two Away Members (capped at 3,100) will receive access to apply via ballot application for every Premier League away fixture, thus ensuring that every member has a fair opportunity of obtaining away tickets for every Premier League away fixture.
- Priority Two Away Members must purchase a ticket for at least 3 Premier League away fixtures to be eligible to renew at this rate for 2024/25.
We expect that based on the ticket availability per match and the number of Priority Two Away Members, that the probability of obtaining a ticket via the ballot will mean that supporters who regularly apply will be able to meet the above criteria.
Further information regarding our on-sale dates, balloting application windows etc will be detailed when we communicate Southampton Away ticket news.
Any Priority Two Memberships that are not purchased by eligible supporters will be made available for other Season Card holders to purchase. Further information regarding the sales process will be communicated to Season Card holders after the renewal’s deadline.
Further Information
- All away tickets will be posted out and there will be no facility for collection at The City Ground Ticket Office for the 2024/25 season.
- Supporters are advised to ensure that their address details are up to date via their online accounts here.
- A £1.00 postage fee will be charged for each transaction.
- We will no longer accommodate requests from supporters to be seated together as a group:
- 6 tickets can be purchased per transaction or applied for per ballot application.
- Any Priority Plus Away members that wish to be seated alongside any Priority One Away members must buy together during the second priority 20-hour window.
- Any Priority Plus or Priority One Away member that wishes to be seated alongside any Priority Two Away member must apply together via the ballot.
- Seat requests will only be accommodated for accessible or safeguarding purposes.
- Away Memberships and any tickets obtained via an Away Membership remain personal to the Away Member, who can only obtain tickets at the price class that reflects the Away Members Date of Birth.
- This policy was in place for the 2023/24 season and will remain in effect for next season.
- This ensures that abuse of concessionary tickets is limited whilst also limits individuals from using Away Memberships to obtain tickets for non-Away Members.
All Away Members can find out more information in our FAQs and T&Cs below.
Nottingham Forest would like to place our thanks on record to the Fan Advisory Board for their co-operation following a period of consultation earlier in the week regarding the amendments to the away membership scheme.
Away Membership FAQs
Why am I unable to renew my Away Membership online?
If you are unable to renew your Away Membership online, then this is likely because you are not a Season Card holder with us for 2024/25, or because you did not purchase tickets for at least 3 Premier League away games during the 2023/24 season.
If you believe that you should be eligible, please email tickets@nottinghamforest.co.uk where we will investigate.
When and how can I renew?
Supporters can renew their Away Memberships here from 10am Wednesday 24th July, online only. Please ensure to click the icon of a person top right so that you’re signed into your eTicketing account.
Disabled supporters can renew online, over the phone or via the Ticket Office.
When is the deadline to renew?
The deadline to renew is 5pm Wednesday 31st July 5pm.
What happens if I miss the deadline to renew?
The renewals deadline is a hard deadline and any supporter who has not renewed by this deadline will not have the option to renew after. Subject to availability, any non-renewed Away Member can attempt to purchase an Away Membership again when these are released on sale, however if they miss out, no exceptions will be facilitated.
Can I upgrade my Away Membership?
All Away Members have been emailed to inform them of the tier they are eligible to purchase at and will not be able to upgrade from this tier.
Why has the Club introduced balloting for away tickets?
Following feedback from supporters as well as from reviewing social media reaction throughout the 2023/24 season, we could see that there were a lot of supporters that were frustrated with the queue system, purchase journey, as well as the time they were having to take out of their day to get onto a computer and attempt to buy.
By introducing balloting ahead of 2024/25, supporters will be able to apply in their own time, whilst the application window will be long enough and outside of work hours so that individuals do not have to take time out of their working day to attempt to obtain a ticket.
The ballot will then be ran, with results communicated to those successful or unsuccessful. Further information will be provided in our relevant away game on-sale ticket news articles on how to apply etc.
Whilst allocating tickets randomly via ballot leaves it to the system to determine who gets tickets, we believe that the number of tickets that will be remaining after other Away members have purchased, alongside the number of Priority Two Away members that are eligible to apply, should mean that these individuals have a 50% probability chance of obtaining a ticket, based on all Priority Two Away members applying, which won’t always be the case.
Whilst there will be some individuals more successful than others, whether that’s because they apply for more games or just through luck via the ballot, we believe that implementing balloting for these individuals provides a fair chance for all to obtain tickets.
What happens if I apply for all 19 Premier League away games, but I’m not successful via the ballot once, will you then revoke my membership?
Whilst we are confident that if an individual applies for all 19 Premier League away games, they will be successful for at least 3 away games, in the unlikely event that a supporter is not, please email tickets@nottinghamforest.co.uk at the end of the season, and we’ll advise accordingly.
Will Priority Plus Away members have 24 hours and then Priority One Away members another 20 hours after that to purchase?
No, Priority Plus Away members will have 10am – 2pm (to consider lower allocation away games) whilst then Priority One Away members will have 2pm – 10am the next day.
Priority Plus Away members will still have 2pm – 10am the next day to buy and will be guaranteed a ticket for most Premier League away fixtures providing they buy during this period, except lower allocation games.
How will you be changing the system to reduce issues / misuse of Away Memberships?
For the 2024/25 season, the number of Away Members will again be reduced, this time by 100.
Away Members will only be able to purchase a ticket that is relevant to the age category that they are. This will reduce the chances of individuals misusing their Away Memberships to supply tickets to people who are not Away Members with us.
Why have you removed the option for Collection at The City Ground for 2024/25?
To ensure that tickets can be allocated and fulfilled in a timely, accurate and efficient manner, we have made the decision to only offer the “Postage” option for away tickets next season.
This will also reduce the footfall on matchdays from individuals who would usually collect their tickets, ensuring we can focus our attentions on queries related to the matchday itself.
Also, there have been a lot of issues when facilitating ticket collections across the last couple of seasons, such as via confusion from individuals trying to collect when tickets have already been collected. Posting tickets out ensures that tickets are directed to the lead booking client that has purchased.
Why will you not accommodate requests from supporters to be seated together as a group?
Supporters will be able to purchase as a group of 6 or apply via ballot application as a group of 6. Due to the way that tickets will be allocated and fulfilled for the 2024/25 season, facilitating large group requests such as what we’ve received across the last two seasons will not be possible.
As well as this, fulfilling these requests is extremely time consuming, especially given how large in quantity some of these requests are. By no longer accommodating these requests, this will ensure that we can allocate and fulfil tickets in a time, accurate and efficient manner., whilst also ensures that supporters receive their tickets sooner.
Any Priority Plus Away members that wish to be seated alongside any Priority One Away members must buy together during the second priority 20-hour window.
Any Priority Plus or Priority One Away member that wishes to be seated alongside any Priority Two Away member must apply together via the ballot.
Seat requests will only be accommodated for accessible or safeguarding purposes.
Why can’t I use my Away Membership to purchase tickets for somebody else?
Away Memberships, and any tickets purchased via an Away Membership, can only be used by the named individual who holds the Away Membership.
It is unfair on our other Away Members if there are Away Members purchasing tickets for non-Away Members.
What will happen if I use my Away Membership to purchase tickets for somebody else?
Any Away Member found to purchase tickets and pass them onto a non-Away Member may have their Away Membership revoked.
If I purchase a ticket and cannot attend, can I then pass the ticket onto another Away Member?
Away tickets cannot be passed on or re-sold (even at face value) to other supporters (including other Away Members).
Should you wish to pass your Away ticket to another Away Member, you must email tickets@nottinghamforest.co.uk to provide us confirmation and their customer number, where this will then be transferred, and further instruction provided.
Any Away Members who pass on their Away tickets to other supporters (including other Away Members) without consulting Nottingham Forest FC may have their Away Membership revoked.
For 2024/25, will you increase the number of tickets that can be purchased per transaction for away fixtures?
No. The number of tickets that can be purchased per transaction will remain at 6, providing each ticket can be assigned to an eligible Away Member. We believe that 6 is a happy medium between smaller and larger groups.
How many Premier League games must I purchase tickets for to retain my Away Membership?
Priority Plus Away Members must purchase a ticket for at least 14 Premier League away fixtures to be eligible to renew at this rate for 2025/25.
Priority Plus Away Members must purchase a ticket for at least 14 Premier League away fixtures to be eligible to renew at this rate for 2025/25.
Priority Two Away Members must purchase a ticket for at least 3 Premier League away fixtures to be eligible to renew at this rate for 2025/25.
We expect that based on the ticket availability per match, and the probability of obtaining a ticket via the ballot, supporters that regularly apply will be able to meet the above criteria.
Away cup games do not count towards the 3 required games.
I’m an Away Member that purchased less than 3 Premier League away tickets during the 23/24 season and have had my Away Membership revoked. Will I still be able to purchase a 24/25 Away Membership when these go on sale?
Yes, further information regarding the sales process will be communicated to Season Card holders after the renewal’s deadline.
When will any non-renewed or available Away Memberships go on sale to Season Card holders without an Away Membership?
A further update will be communicated after the renewal’s deadline regarding any new Away Membership sales. This applies to both general allocation Season Card holders as well as Hospitality Season Card holders.
I have a question that isn’t covered in these FAQs, how I can get an answer?
Should you have any questions or concerns, please email tickets@nottinghamforest.co.uk where a response will be provided.
