Nottingham Forest is pleased to announce that Jack Thompson has signed a new contract.

The 19-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal with the Club which runs until the summer of 2026.

Thompson, who joined the Forest Academy in 2019, made 14 appearances in Premier League 2 this season, as well as scoring in the EFL Trophy against Accrington Stanley.

Head of Academy Chris McGuane said: "This new contract is thoroughly deserved for Jack and we are pleased he has committed his future with us.

"It is recognition for the work he has put this past season as he continues to develop as a player and a person.

"He applies himself brilliantly every day and he knows he needs to continue working hard at his game.

"We look forward to seeing how he develops over the next couple of years."
