Forest Academy is delighted to announce that Sam Collins has signed a new deal with the club.

The midfielder has signed a contract until June 2025, with the club holding a one-year extension option.

Collins featured eight times for our B Team in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy this season, before suffering an unfortunate broken leg in our win over Carlisle United at Brunton Park.

The 20-year-old, who has been on the club's books since he was 10, was also part of the U18s side which reached the FA Youth Cup final in 2022.

Head of Academy Chris McGuane said: "We are delighted Sam has signed a new contract to extend his time with the club.

"This May marks ten years since Sam first registered in the Academy and we are all looking forward continuing to see him progress and develop as both a player and a person.”
