Forest were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Crystal Palace at The City Ground on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds fell behind inside 11 minutes when Eberechi Eze squared for Jean-Philippe Mateta who emphatically finished beyond Matz Sels to give Palace an early lead.
Eze caused more problems and nearly doubled the visitors' lead seven minutes before the break, but Sels was on-hand to make a fine save to deny the midfielder from close-range.
Nuno Espírito Santo made one change at the break with Anthony Elanga replacing Ibrahim Sangaré at the break, with Gio Reyna then replacing Divock Origi on the hour.
Forest improved in the second half and found a leveller shortly after the hour mark. Morgan Gibbs-White floated a ball into the area, and with his back to goal, Chris Wood expertly guided a header over Dean Henderson and into the net for his eighth goal in his last 11 matches.
The Reds looked to pounce again after grabbing an equaliser, with Reyna's dangerous effort parried away by Henderson, before Gibbs-White fired a vicious shot just over the crossbar from the edge of the area.
Palace hit the woodwork in the dying embers when Daniel Muñoz glanced a header off the post from an in-swinging corner.
