Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce that Zyan Blake has signed his first professional contract with the Club.

It has been an eventful week for Zyan, whose new deal runs until the summer of 2027, having put pen to paper on his 17th birthday one day after he was named on the bench for the B Team’s Bristol Street Motors game against Wigan Athletic.

Blake joined the academy in September 2016 and has established himself in recent times as a key part of the U18 squad. During the current international break Zyan has had the opportunity to train with the First Team, as the attacking midfielder continues his development.

Head of Academy, Chris McGuane, said: “Firstly, our congratulations go to Zyan on being awarded his first professional contract at this exciting time for the Club and in his development as a player within the Academy. It is a proud moment for him and his family as he embarks on the next step on his journey to reach his full potential.

“Zyan is an exciting player who is quick, a real threat in attacking moments of the game, and can unlock defences with his ability to manipulate the ball in small areas. Zyan is very determined and focused to ensure he meets his potential over the coming years.

“We are all excited to see how Zyan continues to progress with us at Nottingham Forest and we all look forward to seeing what the future brings for him.”
