Hayley James departs Nottingham Forest Women to start new role as Education Officer within the Academy.
The defender joined Forest Women in August 2020 from Leicester City and has since made over 60 appearances for The Reds.
James played a key role in defence in the 2022/23 double winning side which won both the Northern Premier Division title and Women’s National League Cup.
The role within the Nottingham Forest Academy will see Hayley teach and assess the Sport BTEC qualifications with Academy Scholars as well as supporting younger age groups with their education.
Head of Academy, Chris McGuane, added: “We are delighted to welcome Hayley to the Academy who joins as our Education Officer.
“With the integration of our Academy and Women’s programmes, Hayley already has a firm understanding of this exciting role that she is embarking on, and we have no doubt she will deliver a first class education to our Youth and Professional Development Phase players within the Academy.
“We are all looking forward to working with her and wish her well as she transitions into this new position.”
We thank Hayley for her invaluable contributions as a Nottingham Forest player and wish her all the best for the future in her football career.
