Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce that Forest Women’s training sessions will be held at the newly renovated Holme Road facilities.
Following investment from the Club into the grass surfaces, which were previously used by Nottingham Forest men’s team under Brian Clough, Holme Road now provides Forest Women with high-quality pitches and an exclusive environment for Carly Davies’ side to train and prepare for their upcoming fixtures.
Nottingham Forest announced earlier this summer that Forest Women will become a full-time professional Football Club from the start of the 2025/26 season with Owner Evangelos Marinakis’ investment in the training facilities supporting his ambitious vision to see Forest compete in the elite divisions in both the men’s and women’s game.
The pitch facilities have been renovated and modernised allowing the women’s first team to train on first-class grass surfaces enhancing the players’ development and preparations in their bid for success in both league and cup competitions.
Forest Women will continue to operate gym, analysis and all other off-pitch activities from the Nigel Doughty Academy allowing the team to benefit from a shared methodology and innovation with the other staff and teams based there, whilst utilising the first-class facilities the Academy provides.
Head of Women’s and Girls Football, Amber Wildgust, said: “In recent weeks, we have invested heavily in the grass surfaces at Holme Road to create a space we can truly take pride in.
“This investment reflects our Owner’s commitment to providing the women’s first team and girls’ academy with the resources needed to achieve high performance and realise our ambitions as a modern day Football Club.
“Holme Road, with its historic significance, will become a space exclusively for our women’s team. We are excited to carry the legacy of the Brian Clough era as we work towards the future of building a successful, professional Nottingham Forest women’s team.”
