Following a strong start to the season with three wins and three clean sheets in PL2, both Aaron Bott and Kyle McAdam have been nominated.

McAdam, who has played every minute so far in the competition, has been recognised for his consistency and his versatility. Already featuring in the midfield and at the back for the B Team, McAdam continues to show his importance to the side. The ability to win duels means defensively McAdam adds solidity to the team and the 19-year-old is contributing in both boxes, having registered two assists in all competitions so far.

For Bott, the recognition rounds off an excellent summer for the 19-year-old. Having made his debut for the first team in pre-season, the young goalkeeper has made a fast start to the current campaign. The defensive structure of the team has been solid, with the B Team yet to concede a goal in the PL2. Comfortable on the ball and making crucial saves at important moments in matches, Bott has benefited from his exposure to the first team, continuing to improve and provide a steady base for his team.

Both nominations reflect the continued work the staff and the players put in to improve, as well as the excellent start the team has made to the season. We wish Kyle and Aaron the very best.

The winner will be announced on Friday 13 September at 10am BST.
