The Reds earn a point at the Nationwide Windows Arena thanks to a Mollie Green penalty.
Head Coach Carly Davies made two changes to the side that comfortably won at Hull as Freya Thomas and Sophie Domingo returned to the eleven.
There was an early opportunity for Forest when Mel Johnson was fouled on the edge of the area with Mollie Green’s resulting free kick parried away from danger.
It was the hosts that took the lead only six minutes into the league clash as Katy Norris found the back of the net from a cross into the box.
The Reds pushed for an equaliser straight after Rugby’s opener with Charlie Wellings’ deflected effort saved by the Borough keeper.
With the half time whistle fast approaching, Freya Thomas led the attack for Forest eventually shooting at goal from distance, only to see her effort drift just wide.

The Reds worked a good chance at goal early into the second 45 when Nat Johnson broke into the area and fired a low ball across the face of goal, but no player could direct it goalwards.
Emily Batty produced an excellent stop at her near post to deny the hosts a second, ten minutes into the second half.
Forest almost had the equaliser when Wellings’ cross into the box was met by striker Johnson, but the number nine headed wide of the target.
Carly Davies made her first substitution of the league tie as Casey Howe entered the action as Sophie Domingo made way.
Moments later and The Reds worked another great chance to level the scoreline as Wellings flashed a ball across the six yard box; again no one could connect.
Borough continued to cause the Forest defence problems with two good opportunities to score going amiss for the hosts.
With just over ten minutes remaining in the tie Thomas was fouled in the area and Forest awarded a spot kick. Mollie Green stepped up from 12 yards and found the bottom corner to level the score.
Davies introduced Amy Sims and Millie Chandarana in the closing stages as Forest earned a point on the road.
