We hope our fans are looking forward to our Emirates FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City on Sunday April 27.
East Midlands Railway and Network Rail have shared advice for those travelling to the fixture by train, which can be read here and here.
The Club would like to extend its thanks to Claire Ward, the Mayor of the East Midlands, who intervened at the Chairman’s request to ensure full collaboration between the Club, Network Rail and East Midlands Railway so that the available rail services for the fixture were maximised.
Whilst engineering works will be taking place on April 27, Network Rail and East Midlands Railway have been working very closely since the announcement of the fixture. This co-operation has increased the available rail services for fans originally proposed, and essential maintenance work has been reduced to the lowest extent possible on the day. Engineering works are planned many months in advance to ensure that alternative routes are available, however services are still expected to be extremely busy.
Accordingly, the Club has arranged for substantial travel capacity in the form of official travel coaches to be made available, which will travel direct to Wembley Stadium. If there is sufficient demand, the Club will seek to increase the number of coaches available.
A comprehensive travel guide for supporters heading to Wembley Stadium will also be published in due course.
