- Reds return to Premier League action
- Forest face Spurs on Easter Monday
- Forest Preview is your big pre-match read
Nottingham Forest travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday evening to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have lost just one of their last three away fixtures in all competitions having won at Ipswich Town in the Premier League and beaten Brighton & Hove Albion on penalties in the Emirates FA Cup last month.
The Reds are looking for a first three points since April 1 when Anthony Elanga’s solitary strike was enough for Forest to claim maximum spoils against Manchester United.
Spurs meanwhile reached the semi-final of the Europa League last Thursday following a 1-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt to record a 2-1 aggregate win in the tie.
Ange Postecoglou’s team have won two of their six home league fixtures in 2025 to date, with Spurs’ last home Premier League win coming against Southampton earlier this month.
Earlier this season, Elanga’s first half goal was the difference between the two sides at The City Ground as Forest won 1-0 against Spurs on Boxing Day 2024.

Man in the middle

Officiating Forest’s clash with Spurs is Peter Bankes, in what will be his fourth game involving the Reds this season.
Bankes has previously taken charge of two Forest Premier League fixtures, both 3-0 wins for the Reds against first West Ham United in early November, then Wolves in January.
Most recently, Bankes was the referee for Forest’s FA Cup quarter-final against Brighton at the AMEX Stadium, in which Nuno’s side won 4-3 on penalties after a goalless 120 minutes on the south coast.
In all competitions, the official has been involved in two Spurs fixtures in 2024/25; their 1-0 win over Man Utd in February being the most recent, and their 3-0 win against Tamworth in the third round of the FA Cup.
Assisting Bankes in North London will be Marc Perry and Nick Greenhalgh, with Tony Harrington confirmed as the fourth official. John Brooks will be on VAR duty.
