- Defender has enjoyed a fine campaign in Forest colours
- Brazil international highlights importance of players' relationship with Forest coaching staff
Murillo says the feeling inside the Nottingham Forest dressing room off the pitch has aided the Reds in the successes they have enjoyed so far this season.
The Forest defender has experienced a standout campaign in the heart of the Forest defence, making 34 appearances in all competitions, including in each of the last 16 matches.
Murillo spoke of players feeling settled at the club and the atmosphere on the pitch replicating it off the field as the Reds aim to finish the season on a high.
“It’s good to see everything is working out and we’re happy with that. Now we need to keep this up so that better things are to come.
“It feels great, we can see that when we’re on the pitch teams are respecting us more. Now we know we have reached the point we have been looking for which feels really great for us.
“We have a great union in the club and among the players. We all feel settled, everyone jokes together, we all talk and I think that is paramount off the pitch.
“We’re bringing the feeling off the pitch on it now and that is just right for us.”

The Brazil international highlighted the relationship between the Forest Head Coach, Nuno Espírito Santo, and his players and the importance of the connection in achieving their aims for the season ahead of the final five fixtures.
“We have Nuno’s idea which is the main thing for us, the relationship between a manager and players is crucial to make things work.
“We have all understood what he wants from us and what he has passed on to us and his staff who help each of the players.
“No one is left behind, he’s with all of us. If he sees you fall he will help you out. The connection we have is really solid, and it has been crucial to reach this point.
“He cares for all of us and he wants us all on the same wavelength. He’s one of the funniest managers I’ve had too, he jokes with everyone and loves a laugh.
“It’s always fun to be around him and listen to his stories too.
“We have a relationship based on trust, I can talk to him about anything and the same for him with me, and he’s created this bond with other players in the team. The players are all uniting behind his ideas.”
