Nottingham Forest face Manchester City on Sunday afternoon (kick-off 4.30pm) in the semi-finals of the Emirates FA Cup.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s Reds go into the match having secured an important three points against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday evening to restore Forest’s place in the Premier League’s top four.
Forest overcame Brighton & Hove Albion in the quarter finals of the FA Cup on penalties to set up Sunday’s tie, whilst City recorded a 2-1 win against AFC Bournemouth.
Pep Guardiola’s outfit saw off Aston Villa by two goals to one midweek at the Etihad Stadium.
Callum Hudson-Odoi’s solitary strike was the difference between the two sides in the last meeting in March, when the Forest winger netted seven minutes from time in NG2 to secure the win for Nuno’s team.
City ran out 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture in Greater Manchester in December.
The last FA Cup meeting between came in 2009 when goals from Nathan Tyson, Robert Earnshaw and Joe Garner led to a 3-0 win for the Reds.

Michael Oliver will officiate Forest’s FA Cup semi-final against City at Wembley.
Oliver has taken charge of three Forest Premier League fixtures in 2024/25, August’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth, September’s 1-0 win against Liverpool and December’s trip to Man City.
He has officiated four City fixtures this season with the most recent being the Citizens’ 2-0 win against Leicester City in December.
The official has previously overseen one fixture in the competition this season, that being the fifth round tie between Crystal Palace and Millwall at Selhurst Park.
Assisting Oliver and Wembley will be Stuart Burt and Dan Cook with Sam Barrott confirmed as the fourth official. Andrew Madley is on VAR duty at from Stockley Park.
