James is a huge Nottingham Forest fan and he loves his football. His favourite player? None other than Forest’s no. 10, Morgan Gibbs-White.
James was diagnosed with metastatic medulloblastoma in April 2024, a rare form of brain cancer which has spread to his spine, when he was just seven years old.
Intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy as a result of his diagnosis has meant he has had to learn to walk again.
But James has kept a smile on his face throughout it all and undertook a sponsored walk around The City Ground pitch last week to raise important funds for Children’s Brain Cancer Research.
Gibbs-White paid James a special visit Trentside to join his sponsored walk after presenting James with four tickets for Forest’s FA Cup fifth round tie against Ipswich Town next week as a special birthday present.
James turns eight years old today and as of this morning, Forest’s little hero has raised over £5000.
Happy birthday James, we hope you’ve had a magnificent day, and we can’t wait to welcome you to The City Ground on Monday evening ❤️
