Head Coach Nuno Espírito Santo was pleased with Nottingham Forest’s goalless draw with Arsenal as the Reds picked up their first point in three matches.

Nuno’s side returned to The City Ground for the first time since the beginning of the month as Forest extended their unbeaten run in NG2 having last suffered defeat on home turf in November.

After a pleasing second half display against Newcastle United on Sunday, Nuno was pleased the Reds followed that performance up with another positive display against the Gunners on home soil.

“It was a good point that we worked very hard for, but more than anything it is about finding ourselves, realising how we do things and I think the players did it in a very good way.” Nuno told Forest TV.

“It’s important that we realise after this tough period that we’ve had with these tough games, and we didn’t put in in a good performances, that we went back to the way we do things.

“The consistency was there, we were compact, solid. The players were helping each other and when the players had no energy we had the atmosphere of The City Ground giving us extra.

“It is a positive night for us moving forward.

“Arsenal had chances because they are a very good team but we had chances ourselves which could have given us a different result, but it was positive, especially the hard work of the players.

“As long as we keep the spirit and bond in the group we have the talent further up the pitch to win the games.”
