Nuno Espírito Santo has confirmed that goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey has rejoined the Club on a deal until the end of the season.

Hennessey, who has earned 109 caps for Wales, joined Forest in the summer of 2022, going on to play nine times for The Reds.

The 37-year-old departed at the end of last season upon the expiry of his contract, but has remained an important figure around the Nigel Doughty Academy during his recovery from injury.

The experienced goalkeeper now rejoins the Club on a deal until the end of the campaign, providing competition and support for Matz Sels and Carlos Miguel.

Speaking in Monday's press conference ahead of Forest's fixture against Liverpool, Nuno said: "Unfortunately Wayne had a serious injury at the end of last season which was a tough moment for everybody inside the training ground.

"But he has improved and now he's a big part of us, especially in the goalkeeping community which is a small group.

"He's signed his contract and it's a pleasure to have him around. His knowledge, his experience, the way he goes about his work, it's really good to have him."
