Nottingham Forest can confirm Esapa Osong has joined Cambridge United on loan.

Having spent the first half of the season at fellow League One side Rotherham, Osong joins the U’s for the remainder of the campaign.

Craig Mulholland, Head of Football Development & Talent Management said: ‘We are looking forward to seeing Esapa in the second half of the season at Cambridge.  All player journeys are different, and this second loan provides a great challenge for Esapa.

“Cambridge delivered an excellent presentation and had done extensive work on Esapa, demonstrating real knowledge of his game.

“Our player pathways team of Chris Brass and Owen Coyle have analysed all the club data and spent a lot of time with Esapa, ensuring we have alignment from all parties on the objectives between now and the end of the season.

“We wish Esapa the very best for the next three months and would like to thank Cambridge for the professional way this agreement has been reached.”
