Nottingham Forest B Team Coach Lewis Grabban praised the desire, determination and hunger of Forest’s B Team to reach the Premier League International Cup semi-final following a 2-1 win against Nordsjælland Under-21s at Loughborough University last night.

Eric da Silva Moreira’s brace was enough for the win for Warren Joyce’s side, despite the visitors pulling a goal back in the final 20 minutes of the contest.

Forest will discover their semi-final opponents in due course with one quarter-final yet to be decided.

Reflecting on a positive night under the Loughborough lights, Grabban was keen to keep the side’s focus on the semi-final and not look too far ahead just yet.

“The boys were really good tonight, it’s our third win on the bounce and it was really pleasing win against good opposition.

“This group has that desire, determination and hunger and they showed that tonight.

“Sometimes in Premier League 2 you can come up against common styles so definitely when we face these sorts of oppositions it can make it tougher which makes it better for their development.

“We’re really pleased we’ve been able to progress and see who we have in the next round.

“We’re focussed on the next one, we won’t think about the final now, we’re just focussed on trying to get through and hopefully we’ll make it.”
