Nottingham Forest Head Coach Nuno Espírito Santo wants his players to celebrate wins such as that against Manchester City last weekend, but insists attentions must quickly turn to the next game in the calendar.

The Reds head to Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm) on the back of the 1-0 win against City last weekend, a result that opened a four-point gap over the champions in the Premier League table.

Forest are back on the road this weekend for the first time since the end of February, unbeaten in their last three games in all competitions and having kept two clean sheets in their last two Premier League games.

The Head Coach believes results can give his players the belief to go toe-to-toe with the other sides in the Premier League, but attentions cannot stray too far from the next fixture.

“When we work and do things together in a nice way as a team, we can compete against any team. This is what these moments can give us. We always want to move forward in a good way.

“There is no better feeling than to finish a game where you have performed well and you see how proud the fans are.

“It is a moment to celebrate and it could last longer, but it finishes that day and we start the preparations for the next one.

Nuno Espírito Santo

Forest have faced Ipswich twice already this season, in the Premier League back in November and the FA Cup earlier this month.

Nuno is aware of the threats the Tractor Boys pose and the task ahead of the Reds to secure a positive result.

“They are a very talented team and Kieran (McKenna) is a good manager.

“We can see and we’ve felt how hard the game will be. It will be a very tough game on Saturday, especially at their home.

“I’ve been there before so we’re aware of how hard it will be but now we just have to think about ourselves.

“Tomorrow we must prepare well and compete on Saturday.”
