A number of Forest Academy players will represent their nations during the March international break.

Four of our players currently out on loan in the EFL have been called up, as well as five of our Academy players who have enjoyed another positive season for their respective age groups.

Dale Taylor has starred on loan at Wigan Athletic this season, registering more goals and assists than any of his Latics teammates with eight and seven respectively.

The young forward's form hasn't gone unnoticed by Michael O'Neill, with the Northern Ireland boss handing Taylor a call-up to the senior team ahead of games against Switzerland and Sweden.

Jamie McDonnell, who has also impressed on loan at Colchester United this season winning the most duels in League Two, has been called up to represent Northern Ireland Under-21s. Tommy Wright's side are set to compete in a mini tournament in Turkey, where they will be playing matches against Ukraine’s Under-20s, Uzbekistan Under-21s and Turkmenistan Under-21s.

Joe Gardner has made a positive impression since joining Lincoln City on loan, scoring his first league goal in only his second appearance for the Imps. The forward has now received a first call-up to the Republic of Ireland Under-21s as they take on Scotland and Hungary in international friendlies.

Zach Abbott has once again been called up to represent England's Under-19s for their upcoming fixtures against Wales, Turkey and Portugal, as the young defender continues to develop having been a large part of the first-team Forest set-up this term.

Kristian Fletcher, who has scored three goals in his last four Premier League 2 outings, will represent USA's Under-20s for their games against Mexico and Japan, whilst fellow B Team teammate Ben Hammond has been called up by Wales Under-21s for matches against Andorra and Sweden.

Down the age groups, Cormac Daly will represent Scotland Under-19s for their games against Poland and Sweden, whilst Alastair Graham will represent Scotland's Under-17s for games against North Macedonia, Romania and Liechtenstein.

Rounding off the call-ups, Isaac Davies will represent Wales Under-18s for games against Poland and Denmark.

We wish all of the players the very best during the international break.
