Nottingham Forest Netball make their home debut on Friday, but it’s not just the action on the court that you can look forward to.

There’s a host of activities and excitement to get involved in before the first centre point, so we’re giving you the full low down so you can make the most of your afternoon and evening at the Motorpoint Arena.

Show Your Support

Let’s make it a welcome to remember and paint the Motorpoint Arena red! Face painting will be available free of charge in the concourse from 5.15pm – 7.15pm for any fan wanting to look the part and paint on their show their support to the Reds!

Don’t forget to dress in red and white, or head to the Nottingham Forest retail store at the venue to check out the exciting new range of Netball merchandise, including t-shirts and hoodies.

Activities For All

There’s plenty to get involved in off the court.

Snap memories from the home opener with your friends and family in the photobooth, situated in the concourse and open from 5.15pm - 7.15pm.

Looking to test your own skill? There will be different netball activities taking place from 3.30pm - 7.30pm along the concourse to try out!

Action on the Court

Your match ticket give you access to watch both the Netball Super League and NXT Gen match.

The NXT Gen match will also be played between Nottingham Forest and Cardiff Dragons. The match is part of the NXT Gen league, which is referred to as an 'U23 feeder League', which features the nine NSL teams and Team Bath.

The NXT Gen match starts at 4.30pm (start is often referred to as ‘First Centre Point’ or ‘FCP’) and expected to finish around 5:45pm.

The Netball Super League match is the main showcase and set to start at 7.30pm (First Centre Point/FCP).

Match Details

The NSL match will be played in four quarters. Each quarter is 15 minutes long, with a few minutes break between the first and second quarter, as well as the third and fourth quarter. There will be a longer interval between the second and third quarter.

The match is expected to end around 8:55pm, but if the match is tied at the end of the fourth quarter the match will go to a 10-minute period of extra time – there are no draws in the NSL!

Timings

  • 3:30pm – Doors open.
  • 3:30p - 7:30pm – Netball activations in the concourse.
  • 4:30pm – NXT Gen match starts (First Centre Point – FCP).
  • 5:15pm - 7:15pm – Face painting in the concourse.
  • 5:15pm - 7:15pm – Photobooth in the concourse.
  • 7:30pm – Netball Super League match starts (First Centre Point – FCP).
  • 8:55pm – Netball Super League match expected to end.
