- Forest winger nominated for monthly award
- Elanga enjoyed standout month
- Vote for Elanga today
Anthony Elanga has been nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for March.
The Sweden international enjoyed a standout month, starring for the Reds in our 1-0 win against Manchester City at The City Ground, before bagging a brace against Ipswich Town a week later at Portman Road in a 4-2 win.
Elanga completed 80 minutes against the Premier League champions on home turf, causing issues for the Citizens before Callum Hudson-Odoi netted the crucial goal for Forest seven minutes from time.
With Forest already ahead through Nikola Milenković’s goal, Elanga picked out the bottom left corner with accuracy in Suffolk, before doubling his tally just four minutes later with a cool finish when one-on-one with Ipswich ‘keeper Alex Palmer.
The nomination is the first time Elanga has been in contention for the award this season. He was voted the club’s Player of the Month in December.
