Elliot Anderson arrived at The City Ground in the summer of 2024 having been on Newcastle’s books since the age of eight, going on to play 55 times for the Magpies and racking up 44 Premier League appearances at 21-years-old.
A creative midfielder capable of playing as an eight or as a number 10, Anderson made his Premier League debut against Arsenal in January 2021 following several standout performances for Newcastle’s U23s.
A first loan move away from St James’ Park came halfway through the following campaign, playing a hugely influential role in helping Bristol Rovers win promotion from Sky Bet League Two, registering eight goals and five assists in just 21 games for the Gas.
That loan proved to be a catalyst for Anderson’s progress, making 27 first team appearances upon his return to Tyneside in 2022/23 as Newcastle qualified for the UEFA Champions League.
Anderson made a further 26 appearances for Eddie Howe’s side in 2023/24, registering two assists in just 10 Premier League starts and making his Champions League debut against AC Milan at the San Siro in September.
